One of my favorite mags, BUST just did an interview with plus-size model Velvet (or Velvet D'Amour). Once again, I can't link direct you to the article but this blog, courtesy of plushmodelmag.com, has an interview that is just as wild!
Velvet is not the first (real)plus-sized woman to do haute couture. By this time next week I will have the name and other 411 on a woman who did Halston back in the 1970s. Right now I have to go through my HUES mag collection to get her name. And this was during Halston's days when he designed for the stars, not when you could buy his line at Target.
