Over the weekend this video was among the top five searches and the majority of those surfers barely heard of the late, acclaimed author BeBe Moore Campbell, who lost her battle with brain cancer in 2006.
Though her daughters' work as an actress was mostly short run sitcoms and small parts in urban-based movies, she was beautiful without being skanky and articulate without seeming snooty.
My description about these two ladies may not be the most cerebral or detailed because as someone who is closely related to someone with mental illness (my uncle also lost his short battle with dementia earlier this year), I want to say this is nothing to laugh at.
I'm not going to include the link to the recent video featuring Campbell's incoherent rants with a "homeboy", who probably doesn't have a girlfriend or wife for a reason. I'm sure some found it funny but for those who don't know, Campbell suffers from mental illness (reports have come out that she has been arrested for drug possession and prostitution as of late). This may not reach those chose to share the video for laughs but I wanted to be a part of the small group of people to say that if Whitney Houston could do it, so can she!

This is sad, makes me think how sometimes we worry about trivialities.
