You may have tried one of those online learning mills with less than stellar results - and a lighter wallet. In this economy, no one can afford to throw money away. Good virtual schools can be hard to find but when a person can actually learn for free, it rarely gets any better than this.
When I say learn, I don't just mean reading over some text and getting more information from some other source recommended by the instructor. I mean quizzes . A friend of mine was actually able to create her own flashcards for her upcoming CPA exam. The subjects are not related to just careers or academic subjects but fun things like the Spanish language, martial arts and coffee.
Now, the instructor may get you connected to a free software trial or there may be some student special that is only $5 less than retail. Now that's after paying for tuition, books and other supply costs. Here, if you want to test software before buying then you can do that for free as well.
Need to tighten your English for a better job? Even if English is your first language you can get free grammar quizzes and other supplemental tools at no cost.
Girl, it can't hurt you to look around and save yourself some money.
