A Woman Could Probably Build Her Own House...If She Wanted To

Women have been carrying MORE than their fair share for the longest and still get around $.87 for every one dollar a man makes. Well, according to this article we don't need a "good man around the house" either. In short, more of us are headed to Home Depot than ever -- and no, it's not to buy cleaning supplies.

Last week, I fixed the window curtain rod in my bathroom. Not the first time (believe it or not, the first time was when I was about nine, as punishment for "cussin", I had to change the window curtains) but different because it was the first time in a long time and I'm one of the few people in L.A. County blessed to have semi-solid walls. Since it was late, I didn't want to use my "she-drill" (cordless drill that fits in my hand and runs on about 20 AAA batteries) to wake the neighbors. So me and a Phillips screwdriver were at it for about 30 minutes and I was hot and sweaty. (smile)

When I realized that the owner originally used Krazy Glue and then painted over the hooks to reinforce it, I was proud.
