Calling All Moms with Writer Submission Info

GENEROUS , which recently marked it 3rd anniversary is introducing a new column for mothers.  What we're looking for are first-person essays that highlight real moments with your children.  We're not talking about those cute mommy moments like your child's first word or the day they got their Masters'.  We want those other real moments when your child addressed you as mother.

  • Did they once drop out of school and got their degree later in life?
  • Trouble with the law?
  • Or did your child face insurmountable odds due to you not being around?

Real accounts under 400 words as we still pay via PayPal but not a whole lot.  Like all submissions, you reserve the right to submit elsewhere and will be given a byline (you may use a pen name).

Courtesy of Literary Mama, there is a call for an anthology called 'I'm Not Your Superwoman' .  Sounds good but you might want to double-check the submission deadline.
